Welcome to Hilltop Healing Retreats
Jessie Hill

Blessings! I'm Jessie Hill and found my way into yoga after years of athletics. I had the incredible experience of throwing the hammer on the track team at the University of Maryland and when I graduated, I felt a bit of a void from no longer being part of a team. It was only a matter of time before I found my way into a yoga studio, drawn in by the challenging vinyasa practies. Weeks after practicing consistently, I noticed my low back pain was no longer there. I noticed more balance in my legs, more ease in my breathing and being. I also felt the warmth and support of being part of the yoga community- I was hooked! I completed my 200-hour YTT with the intention of deepening my own practice, but before I even completed it, I was blessed with a number of opportunities to begin teaching. I've taught at many studios, at gyms and clubs, for high school and college sports teams, in corporate setting, and for special events and retreats.

Soon after falling in love with yoga, I discovered acroyoga. I traveled to Bali (twice) for an additional 200-hours of ACROVINYASA training with Yoga Beyond. I made countless meaningful friends during those weeks of training and it inspired me to travel the globe to continue learning and growing and connecting. Upon returning home from my second acro training, I discovered aerial yoga. I noticed the similarities between the postures in acro and aerial yoga and before I knew it, I had started an aerial yoga business, training aerial yoga teachers to teach. I've been running that business (Flow & Fly Yoga) with a partner for over 5 years now, and we've trained over 200 aerial yoga teachers.

Since then, I've found myself drawn to the healing arts, pursuing training in yin yoga, restorative yoga, wall yoga, sound healing and more. At the end of 2019, I took a trip to Austrailia to visit a friend I'd met in Bali. While I was there, I was invited to assist in teaching aerial yoga at the Wanderlust Melbourne Festival. Following the festival, I received a calling to quit my full-time job in finance and pursue a new career in acupuncture. I'll happily share the full story with anyone who's interested as it was truly magical, but the summary is that I quit my job and began following my new dream of becoming a healer and an acupuncturist.

This is where Hilltop Healing was born. I recognized that the universe was calling me into the healing world and I answered with a YES, even though I had no idea how I was going to do it. Since then, I've been pursuing my Master's in Acupuncture while sharing feel-good yoga classes, healing arts and joyful retreats. It is my aim to inspire others to take ownership of their lives and their health by living in balance, connecting with their joy, and following their bliss. Leading this retreat is in alignment with my goals and I look forward to sharing with that with you!
